Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Video Publisher accesses, how it's used and stored, and how you can have it removed. Video Publisher is operated by Amazing Gains Limited ("we", "us"). It is a private tool we use to publish videos to YouTube channels we manage for our clients. It is not offered to the public.
Information we access
When a channel owner connects their YouTube channel, they sign in with Google and approve the permissions shown on our homepage. Through the YouTube API Services we then receive and use:
- Access tokens from Google. These let Video Publisher act on the connected channel within the approved permissions. We never see or store your Google password.
- The channel's name and playlist names. These let us confirm we're connected to the right channel and add videos to the right playlist.
- The IDs of videos we upload. YouTube returns these, and we use them to set each video's thumbnail, playlist and captions.
We do not access the channel's analytics, comments, subscribers, messages or watch history. We also don't access your email address, contacts, Google Drive or any other Google data.
The videos, titles, descriptions, tags and thumbnails we upload are content you've asked us to publish. We receive them directly from you, not from Google.
How we use it
We use the information above only to upload and set up the videos you've asked us to publish on your channel. We don't use it for advertising or profiling, we don't sell it, and we don't use it to train AI models.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Video Publisher's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
YouTube API Services
Video Publisher uses the YouTube API Services. By connecting your channel, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
How it's stored and protected
- Access tokens are stored on our server in a folder that only the server's administrator account can read. They never leave the server except when sent to Google.
- All connections to Google and YouTube, and to Video Publisher's pages, use encrypted HTTPS.
- The internal dashboard used to run Video Publisher requires a password.
- Playlist names are kept in memory for up to 10 minutes, then discarded.
How long we keep it
- Access tokens: until you disconnect your channel, ask us to remove it, or we stop managing your channel. We then delete them within 30 days.
- Activity records (which videos were processed and uploaded, and the video ID YouTube returned): deleted after 30 days.
- Upload receipts: a short note with the video's link and title is saved next to the video in our working Google Drive folder for your account. It is deleted when that folder is removed, or sooner if you ask.
Sharing
We share information only with Google and YouTube, and only as needed to upload and set up your videos. We disclose it to anyone else only if the law requires us to.
Your choices
- Disconnect: remove Video Publisher at any time from your Google Account's Third-party apps & services page. Its access stops straight away.
- Deletion: email paul@amazinggains.net and we'll delete the information we hold about your channel within 30 days.
- Questions: email us at the same address.
Cookies and tracking
These public pages use no cookies, analytics or third-party scripts.
Children
Video Publisher is a business tool. It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. If a change affects how we use Google user data, we'll tell connected channel owners before it takes effect.
